We had problems

We only owned this product for about three months, when the player stopped working. An isolated incident, don’t know, but obviously we are not happy. Called service center, did not get much help. Looks like we are eating this purchase. The product was not roughly handled, or damaged by our kids.

Lasted 8 months
Purchased in Nov ‘08. Connections in the units started going bad in six months. sound started getting scratchy, then power would not stay on unless you held the wire plugs in exactly the right position at al times. Jiggle the connectoin just a little bit and the units would lose power and you had to start over. Opened up the units to see if there was a way to fix myself, but no, the female min-plug sockets are too small. Basically, the spring contacts in the sockets get lose from just the weight of the cords. Also, the headrest straps slide of the headrests real easily. My children also used these units most of the time in their laps because of sun glare on the screens.

Broken Cables
It was not long after I bought this product as I leaned back and broke the main screen of its hinges. The loop for the nylon straps for the secondary screen cracked quickly, and I had to install it with my leather belt. Twice, I re-solder the DC adapter to son flimsey both sides. A third time, I was called to replace the son CC and the purchase of a DC connector from Radio Shack. However, the son of a three-jack A / V has failed and I can not find a replacement. It was a costly mistake to buy this product in time and money. In an effort to visit and Magnavox for support for equipment to replace broken parts, I realize that Magnavox extreme form should be in and I am inclined to never buy Magnavox again.
