A good, cheap handheld mic!

I purchased a ton of these as surplus years ago, and am now selling them here on Amazon.com through Fulfillment by Amazon. Of course, I kept one or two for myself and family members.

I was surprised upon opening the package to find a solid “drumstick” mic that is perfect for karaoke or desktop speech recognition. I actually used one to record challenge pieces for marching band trials years ago in high school, and it worked pretty well. The cord is longer for an inexpensive device, and they are pretty durable, with a solid plastic casing an a screen that is solidly glued in. Nobody’s going to dent this one.

The on/off switch is handy. For a brief time, I used my AM-22 with the included table stand to use some speech recognition software. Being able to kill the sensitivity at a flick of a switch helped avoid annoying “cross talk” without having to switch windows to kill the input in the software.

My dad used this with one of his camcorders to avoid recording the wind on nasty days, because it is a directional microphone.

The cord on the mic has a 1/8″ mini connector, but the package also includes the 1/4″ Sony adapter, so you can hook this directly into most karaoke machines, amps, or stereo systems and there’s nothing else to buy.

You’re not going to start a band with it, but this is everything you would want in a $8-10 mic, and could even pass for $20. You won’t be disappointed.
