Let there be bright, rechargeable light
This light is nothing short of awesome. Lasts a very long time on a single charge. It is incredibly bright. It reaches out there nearly as far as my dedicated spot light which will burn out on a single charge in less than 20 minutes which is several times less than the Hitachi(it takes several hours to recharge my spotlight and only 15 minutes to recharge the battery for the Hitachi!) The swivel head is great- I set it on the ground and tilt the head up to work on my atv in dark. I set it on a bumper and tilt the head down to hook up the trailer…
I used it throughout 2 weeks before recharging it for the second time- it was still going, I just don’t like discharging my batteries too far.
It ways only a few ounces, so the only weight you’ll be carrying is basically the weight of your battery.
I would pay 3x more if I had to replace it.
Update (5/19/2012): This item is currently on sale here for the lowest price I’ve seen.

Good light
I’ve had this light for over a year and am very pleased with it. I use the same 18V Lithium Ion batteries I use with my other Hitachi cordless tools and it gives me a nice bright, clear long lasting beam. It is very durable spot light, surviving a few drops and a couple of knocks off of ladders without so much as even breaking the bulb. The adjustable head is nice to direct the beam in whatever postion I need. I don’t understand why Hitachi thinks it needs such a long strap; it is actually more of a hindrance than a help and I folded it over on itself several times then secured it with a couple of cable ties to make it more like a carrying handle. It’s a good, handy spot/work light.

bright light
were the light pivots is a little lose and wobbley makes it feel cheaply made. should have been tighten or shimed so it does not shake. the light itself is very bright and works with my drills batteries over all so far i like this product.
