Great Design
I own and happen to be a big fan of the DeWalt DW618 router. Much of what makes this router my favorite can be found in this standard fixed-base. The handles are super comfortable and the base is well machined and nicely finished. What I find most usefull are the black quick-release tabs located on either side of the housing. These allow you to quickly slide the motor straight out without having to “unscrew” it. The reverse is true as well, reinserting the motor is a quick “straight-shot”. You don’t have to fumble with lining up the motor with the threads in the base to rotate it back in.
This is a well designed, well made product that I highly recommend!!!
