would give a zero for product failure I have a variable speed angle grinder makita very nice and even 1000 rpm ripped this to shreds in a matter of minutes

The DeWalt DW4942 4-1/2-inch-by-7/8-inch backing pad assembly includes all you need to replace your worn out 4-1/2-by-7/8-inch backing pad. The backing pad is a crucial component for attaching sanding discs, foam bonnets, and polishing bonnets. If you’re preparing a surface for finishing, sanding paint or rust, or applying/removing wax, you’ll want to make sure your backing pad is in good working condition or you’ll never get the high luster you so desire. For best results, make sure that you choose a backing pad that properly fits your sander, grinder or polisher. This backing pad kit is designed to work at a maximum of 16,000 RPM, and includes a 5/8-by-11-inch clamp nut.
