Coby Home Theatre

Chose this product because of the value (price vs features). Overall I got what I wanted /expected.

Features I was looking for:
-ability to play DivX movies
-HDMI connection
-Surround sound

Bonus features:
-USB Connection

Annoyances:
-vast sound difference between radio and other sources - need dvd player approx level 30, radio level 2. The default setting seems to be level 35, so switching between sources when you turn it on is a pain if you don’t turn down the volume
-volume knob on the unit is erratic
-no random selection when playing music (off USB drive)

Installation was easy, works OK with my TV, plays DVD’s and videos well, good radio reception.

Ok unit but missing a few things
There are only 1-2 channel audio input, no optical inputs for connecting things like the Xbox to get true surround sound: ("Note: I tried the radio on a local station just so when I DVD Switch out to be not AUX and suitable radio channel it to static to be (I have no intention to use of this take on his radio), when manually scrolling through the first off-stations it forever, and if I certain non-station channels do you use the speaker would go to static full 100% volume, even if muted. Until I the HDMI cable I ordered, I decided to hook up the component cables took a bit to find out, you can rotate the video through the menu options to allow component, and you can not do it unless u first connect the player via a standard video cable.

RV System
I installed this system in my 5th wheel RV and it works (SO FAR) excellent. I play CD’s and DVD’s on it and also connected my Direct TV system as well as cable at various RV parks with no problem.
