Average Distance With Very Little Color Difference From OEM
I’ve been using the lights now for a couple weeks. I bought them to replace the OEM bulbs on my ‘05 Dodge Pickup. I was hoping for the 30% increase in distance they advertise, but that didn’t happen. They are no brighter than the stock bulbs and only a little different in color temperature. If your looking for more of the “bluish” xenon look, these bulbs aren’t for you. Even though the bulbs are blue coated, they don’t reproduce that when lit. I’m satisfied ONLY because I wanted to replace the OEM’s since they were a few years old and because I caught the “two for one” deal Amazon had on them.

NOT AS GOOD AS THE SYLVANIA SILVERSTAR
I have both the Silver Star by Sylvania in a car and I just bought this other GE Nighthawk for my vehicle. I must say, the Silver Star are much brighter and so far I had been for three years. The Nighthawk is only slightly lighter that regular incandescent bulbs and is not worth the extra money. A very good tip: every time you with all of these lamps make sure to wear latex gloves, otherwise the oil from the skin makes hot spots in the bulbs and they burn very quickly.

Nice bright bulb
I purchased these bulbs to replace my stock lamps which had still not burned out after 4.5 years of service. I considered Silverstar Ultra’s first but I saw several reviews reporting very short lifespan. The Nighthawk Sports may not be as bright as Silverstars (which is probably why they last longer). They do seem brighter than stock lamps and definitely have a cooler color. The color is much closer to pure white verging on bluish. I’d recommend them
